Boating, Fishing, and Travel Information for Estero River, FL

The Estero River is located near the census-designated place of Estero in Lee County, FL. It is 6.4 miles long and emplies into an inlet in the Gulf of Mexico called Estero Bay. Endangered species such as the American alligator, the Key Largo woodrat and others are found here. The river is popular for sport fishing as well as exploring, as boaters are able to visit Mound Key, an island in the river.
