Boating, Fishing, and Travel Information for Sebastian Inlet & Wabasso Beach, FL

Sebastian Inlet is part of the Sebastian Inlet State Park in both Brevard and Indian River Counties. The area is known for its surfing, drawing many people to its annual surfing tournaments. The area is also popular among those who like to fish, particularly for Snook and Redfish. Starting in 1872 there were at least seven failed attempts to create the Sebastian Inlet in order to improve water quality of the Indian River Lagoon. It was finally completed in 1924. The Sebastian Inlet Bridge crosses the Indian River Outlet, or the Sebastian Inlet.
